Did you know that funds from the NSW Government’s Recreational Fishing Trusts are used to improve recreational fishing access and provide new or upgraded facilities including fishing platforms, jetties and fish cleaning facilities?

A perfect example of this work is the fish cleaning facility at the McInernhey Park Reserve in Port Macquarie, which was constructed earlier this year.

The facility includes an eight-person stainless cleaning table with faucets connected to potable water supply, a shelter and solar lighting to increase usability outside of daylight hours.

The cleaning tables are designed to allow plenty of anglers to clean their fish at the same time!

This project is one of the recent recreational fishing upgrades completed by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council within the LGA.

This fish cleaning facility is an example of your fishing licence fees at work!
