AFN Fishing & Outdoors is one of Australia’s largest fishing and outdoor media companies. We produce leading national titles such as Freshwater Fishing and FISHER magazines. AFN also produces “The Fishing Show” which airs on 7 mate. Our company publishes books, maps, DVD’s and distributes fishing and outdoor products to the trade. AFN manages its own website, online store, online Fishing, Boating and Outdoor TV Channel and social media.
AFN Fishing & Outdoors is seeking a person to work in our Sales Department selling our product range to the Fishing Tackle and Camping Trade across Australia. We are looking for a self-motivated, professional, highly skilled and organised person that has a high attention to detail and is able to multitask in this busy and challenging role. We are a small company and are looking for somebody that is bright and friendly – must be happy to work in a team and go that extra mile when required.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess fishing and camping knowledge, organisational data entry and administration know-how as well as exceptional time management, multitasking and people skills.
You will be located in our Bayswater, Victoria office and the majority of your sales will be via telephone calls and emails. You will have a database of clients to service. Another key requirement in your role will be some intra and interstate travel.
You will also be required to work at 3 trade shows per year (interstate and Melbourne), along with a few retail shows.
In this role you will be required to answer incoming phone calls and help the General Manager as requested.
