NSW DPI has developed priority actions for the Trout Cod Program including the development of the Trout Cod Action Plan, a 10-year roadmap to guide the recovery of the endangered Trout Cod in NSW.
Four consultations were held across inland NSW in Wagga, Barooga, Bathurst and Queanbeyan in recent months in addition to the online ‘Have Your Say’ process.
The vision for the Action Plan is to re-establish viable Trout Cod populations in priority habitats across their former range that can once again support cultural and recreational fisheries, and incudes short-, medium- and long-term priority actions to guide investment over the next 10 years.
