Do you enjoy spearfishing at Little Bay in Randwick?

Just a reminder that Little Bay is a shared space used by swimmers, snorkellers, and other beachgoers. Please be mindful of others while you enjoy your time in the water.

Before entering, check the large signs at each walkway leading down to the beach — they show the recommended entry and exit points for spearfishers.

DPIRD supports responsible spearfishing across NSW. To help promote safe and respectful practices, please follow these key guidelines:

  • Keep your spear tip covered on land, or ideally keep your speargun completely covered.
  • Never carry a loaded speargun through crowded areas.
  • Maintain at least 50 metres distance from swimmers, snorkellers, scuba divers, and other fishers.
  • Always respect other water users.
  • Know and follow the rules, including any fishing closures.
  • Treat all marine life with respect.
  • Avoid busy or family-friendly areas such as tidal pools, rock pools, and sheltered bays.
