NSW Labor has dumped its shadow agriculture minister Mick Veitch from the party’s Upper House ticket for the NSW 2023 elections.
At NSW Labor’s annual conference on 15-16 October he was replaced by Cameron Murphy, who is a past head of the NSW Council of Civil Liberties.
Mick Veitch has been a valuable adviser to the RFA in past years, with his helpful guidance going beyond party lines, including helping us with introductions and advice on raising issues with all levels and sides of the NSW government. Born in country NSW and active in rural politics and community representation, Mick Veitch has a genuine understanding of regional issues which will be sorely missed in Labor state politics.
The RFA is grateful for all his help over the past 16 years and wishes him every future success.
